"I wanted to share with you that although I didn’t get to see the speakers at our assembly, I heard a lot of positive feedback from students. One student in particular had a heart to heart with me at lunch today and said he was headed down the wrong path and he knew it, but didn’t know how to stop it. He had so much anger and resentment toward his mother (in prison) that he started to hang out with the wrong crowd and got into trouble, etc. He said hearing the speakers was a turning point for him. He said a light bulb went on in his head and was able to make a connection with one speaker in particular. He made a promise to himself to turn his life around and not be “chained down” by his feelings. It was very powerful to listen to this boy….THANK YOU for that!!!! It was truly life changing for at least one student."
